Introduction
Ashtanga yoga is a form of yoga that was developed in India over 2,000 years ago. It focuses on improving your physical health through postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation techniques. “Ashta” means eight and “anga” means limbs. This refers to the 8 limbs of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras—non-violence, truthfulness, non-stealing & celibacy; personal observances, cleanliness, contentment & surrender.
Our Traditional Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training Course is a comprehensive program that enables you to become a Certified Yoga Instructor. After completing the course, you will be qualified to teach Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga to others and help them transform their lives too.
Our comprehensive course offerings include Asanas, Asanas Methodology (Adjustments & Theory), Pranayama and Meditation, Yoga Philosophy, Anatomy and Ayurveda.
In Pranayama classes, students will learn various techniques such as Kapalbhati, Bhastrika, Shithali, Shithkari and Bhramari. The Mysore Style of Pranayama is practiced where the teacher does not lead the students but is present to adjust the postures and help them learn better.
The course is intense, helping students develop a firm foundation of inner discipline. Enrollment requires a sincere interest in learning the discipline and commitment to attend all classes.
